Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer with expertise in large language model (LLM) applications for agentic systems to join our team. You will work alongside data scientists and software developers to harness multiple LLMs, driving the development of SE.ai’s 510(k) product line. Your work will empower medtech inventors by automating and optimizing the regulatory process while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities 

Design and develop agentic systems leveraging LLMs to autonomously build, refine, and validate FDA application documentation.

Collaborate with data scientists to curate and preprocess medtech datasets, including regulatory documents and in-house databases, for LLM training and optimization. 

Partner with the software development team to embed AI capabilities into a secure, scalable platform.

Enhance the platform’s ability to provide real time actionable insights.

Experiment with advanced LLM architectures to improve the accuracy and efficiency of regulatory file creation tailored to diverse medtech needs and budgets. 

Stay ahead of AI and regulatory trends to ensure SE.ai’s platform remains a leader in fast-tracking FDA applications.

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field (PhD preferred but not required). 

2+ years of experience in AI engineering, with a focus on LLM development and deployment, preferably in a regulated industry. 

Proven expertise in building agentic systems or autonomous AI agents, ideally for regulated industries. 

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or Hugging Face Transformers. 

Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific tasks, such as natural language processing for technical or legal documentation. 

Familiarity with medtech regulatory processes (e.g., FDA 510(k)) or experience adapting AI for compliance-driven applications is a plus. 

Ability to collaborate across teams to deliver secure, high-performance AI solutions. 

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and secure data pipelines. 

Passion for solving complex challenges and a proactive approach to innovation. 

Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and regulatory domains.

Additional Preferred Skills 

Knowledge of multi-agent systems or reinforcement learning for adaptive AI applications. 

Experience with MLOps for deploying and maintaining AI models in production. 

Background in medtech or familiarity with FDA regulatory frameworks.
